Hollywood gaat massaal voor Spanx

Jessica Alba, Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian en Kelly Osbourne. Allemaal zijn ze in de ban van het nieuwe wondermiddel: Spanx!

Spanx is een Amerikaans merk dat bestaat uit een collectie corrigerende lingerie van materiaal dat zo dun en soepel is dat gewoon ademen mogelijk blijft. Het label lijkt bij bekend Hollywood in de smaak te vallen: “Spanx are the only thing that smoothes out all of my lumps and bumps“, aldus een overtuigde Jessica Alba.

Het merk dat in 1998 werd opgericht door Sara Blakely kreeg in 2000 naamsbekendheid door niemand minder dan Oprah Winfrey. De Godmother van de Amerikaanse televisie was in één klap verkocht en noemde Spanx gelijk dat jaar nog in haar “Oprah’s Favorite Things” list.

Inmiddels kent het merk – hoe kan het ook anders – vele beroemde volgers en zijn de corrigerende broekjes, bh’s en panty’s inmiddels ook in Nederland te koop bij onder meer De Bijenkorf, lingeriewinkels en diverse online shops.
